Position Summary

Matterhorn is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven team member to assist senior investment professionals in all aspects of business development and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior team members in developing and maintaining relationships with relevant deal source intermediaries, including investment bankers, brokers, private credit funds, private equity firms, growth equity firms, operating partners within targeted industries, attorneys, accountants, among other sources
  • Research tactics senior team members can use to grow the pipeline of new corporate deal opportunities sourced through new relationships that fit Matterhorn’s investment mandate/criteria
  • Help to increase the number of corporate deals closed through new sourcing channels/relationships
  • Research new industries of focus
  • Design and aid initiatives for direct outreach to potential borrowers, operating partners, and relevant intermediaries in specific industries
  • Ensure all relevant corporate business development activity is logged within DealCloud
  • Enhance existing corporate borrower tearsheets / create industry-specific tearsheets
  • Document business development process for use in fundraising collateral
  • Assist in the overall success of the firm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Development or Sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related course of study
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM software
  • Self-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
